Post 23: the God of Miracles

January 17, 2024

I want to write much more on this topic, but it’s getting late and my brain is tired. I just saw a video; here’s a synopsis: A mom who is in recovery from drug addiction was at a Bible study. She had her kids with her, and they started to be kids! She vehemently apologized to everyone around her. The leader stopped her and said, “Stop apologizing. If the devil had gotten his way these little blessings wouldn’t even be here.” The speaker of the video went on to say…what if we stopped being embarrassed and apologizing for everything in our life that isn’t “just so” and instead praised the God of Miracles for it?

What if we started to praise God for the chaos?

“Stop apologizing, and instead spend that energy praising the God of Miracles Who made a way in our lives when there was no way.”

As someone who saw someone they deeply loved struggle with addiction, this story really hit home. I fucking hate drugs. I am so thankful for a God who is the ultimate Redeemer, who makes ways when there seem to be none.

That’s all today.

whyiscchappy? having a miracle mindset.
