Post 26: muddy waters

January 25, 2024

Today I saw a post about “being still to let the muddy waters clear” and it reminded me of Psalm 46:10—be still and know that I AM GOD.

Another quote I saw today basically said that if you’re wondering about whether or not to remove someone from your life (which is an extremely difficult decision for layers of reasons), give it to God and He will “make it emphatically clear.” TRUTH.

Recently, I was debating about removing someone from my circle, and because I cared deeply for them, this was a difficult decision. I didn’t know what to do. I truly exhausted every outlet—therapy, talking with friends, trying to just push it off, etc. I finally (truly) gave it to God. I asked for a sign. AND BOY, did He deliver a freaking sign. It was like a big enough sign that if I ignored it I would genuinely be a dumbass.

I wonder how many times God gives us signs, or nudges, that we are too stubborn and proud to acknowledge, and I wonder how many of them we miss by not being still, listening for Him, and truly seeking Him and His Kingdom first.

He is like a cleansing waterfall that never ceases pouring into us.

whyiscchappy? God clearing my muddy waters (over and over again).
